About Nima
Nima is a luxury sleepwear brand that honours the people and process behind each garment. Transparency is central to how we operate, particularly in our approach to sustainability, where we believe honesty matters more than bold claims of perfection.
Hello, I'm Mary and welcome to Nima.
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and learn more about my business.

Having worked with Indian artisans for a decade, I feel it's more important to highlight their work and the local crafts that make Nima possible, rather than centering on my story. That's why I have created the who made your clothes page, to focus on the many people and skills that contribute to each Nima garment.

Whilst living in India, I have had the privilege of witnessing the extraordinary breadth of textile knowledge that still exists, alongside the quiet disappearance of crafts that haven't survived the passage of time. Nima aims to champion crafts of cultural and social significance, particularly those at risk of being lost and forgotten in our increasingly industrialised world.
Nima does not work to trends or rigid timelines, but to the pace of the people and communities that make it possible. I have learnt that working with artisans means respecting the rhythm of everyday life and how their crafts fit into it, rather than expecting them to conform to commercial demands. Quality craftsmanship comes from patience in the process rather than optimizing for speed or scale; that's why we produce in small batches and launch a collection only when it's ready, not when fast-fashion algorithms dictate it should be.
Continually improving our practices and keeping our supply chain as transparent as possible are commitments I take seriously. Nima exists within an industry that is deeply damaging to both people and the planet. For consumers, the truly ‘sustainable’ choice is to buy nothing new at all, which isn’t a realistic expectation, particularly when it comes to sleepwear. Taking accountability, reassessing regularly, creating high-quality, longer-lasting garments, and researching best practices are how I work towards Nima being a better choice for those who wish to buy new clothes.
I am always open to suggestions on how I can improve our practices, so please do get in touch if you have any thoughts or ideas.
Above all, I want Nima pyjamas to be the pair you can’t wait to change into and instinctively reach for. I hope they make bedtime feel like a treasured ritual, and that you’ll wear them with the comfort of knowing they were thoughtfully and responsibly made.
Thank you again for being here,
Mary
